Michael Bergman's (email) ninedigital problem.

Michael Bergman remembers an old question but
he can't seem to remember the answer !
The question is as follows :
Use the digit '2' only three times to make 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
Do you have any idea what the answer would be ?
A friend of Michael got the question from his math teacher, but it's
too hard to figure out. The actual answer is pretty long to write out,
but here's a demonstration of how to get it :
Try these on the calculator (you can see the image hereunder).
See a pattern ? To get it to equal 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9,
just stack that many square roots on top of the first 2.
